Statistics Canada Education Awards (to 2/15/2011)

The following two Statistics Canada Education awards (in conjunction with the Canadian Society for Studies in Education (CSSE) are in danger of not being renewed after this contract as participation in the last few years has been zero or one student only entering the competition.  It would be sad to see them disappear and chances of winning would be very good.

Statistics Canada award for Foundations of Education: http://www.statcan.gc.ca/liaison/cafe-acfe-eng.htm awarded at the undergraduate level to a pre-service teacher.

President’s Blue and Gold Revue – November-December, 2010

Dear Graduate students, Graduate secretaries and Graduate Advisors,

We in the Faculty of Graduate Studies are writing to solicit volunteers, suggestions, or nominations for graduate student or graduate program participants in this year’s President’s Blue and Gold Revue, to be held in late November or early December at the Chan Centre. This is a festive celebration providing a venue for the university’s special guests to be informed and inspired about UBC life. It showcases inventions, interviews, videos and music from UBC’s most outstanding students, faculty and staff.
